From rolling papers to water pipes, vaporizers to edibles, to even hemp twine, the evolution of cannabis enjoyment has bred dozens of new ways for the casual consumer or medical marijuana patients to enjoy the wonderful herb. Although it'd probably be impossible to name every cool cannabis invention, this list includes the creme of the crop:

1. Bong

Are you even surprised it's number one? For thousands of years, people have been utilizing water to cool their hits for a more pleasurable experience. We've certainly come a long way since then, today we have borosilicate glass, percolation systems, sliding bowls, and we're still improving! I know that although I love pipes and joints, I definitely wouldn't have come this far as a stoner without bongs.

2. Keck Clip

This little bugger is something I've actually bought most of my friends. If you have a water-piper that has a standard joint size, then you really should get one of these wonderful little clips. They keep it so that you can't accidentally pull out your down-stem when drawing the bowl, and it also provides some extra protection for the already fragile joint.

3. One-Hitter

A vacation necessity! If you've ever gone on a over-nighter or on a road trip, you probably know just how hard it is to decide what, and how much, of your cannabis arsenal you need to take with you. A one-hitter is the perfect vacation piece, since they're small, easy to use, and fairly durable for a pipe. If you want to take it a step further, grab a dugout setup that comes with a one-hitter pipe, so you can store the perfect amount of vacation bud right along with your pipe.

4. Grinder

I can't tell you how many times my dad has lectured me on how fortunate my generation is, and his prime example is always the invention of grinders. He says to me, "When I was your age, I had to pick apart my bud by hand and look for obnoxious seeds and stems that would screw with my doobs." Yes, doobs. The first time he used a grinder, he practically looked at it like it was a bar of gold. His bud was perfectly ground, regardless of stem or seed content, for the ideal joint. To this day he claims that grinders are his favorite invention EVER. Although some inventions might seem simple, never underestimate their importance!

5. Vape Pen

Vape pens are glorious inventions for the traveling stoner. Vaporization technology has come a long way since desktop vaporizers first made their debut. Now vaporizer pens can come prepared for either wax or dry-herb toking, and sometimes even both, so tokers have the option of what they want to smoke on the go. I love vape pens for walking around the town and enjoying the herb without too much hassle, but they're also perfect for vacations, outdoor activities, really anything that keeps you out of the house for the day.

6. Glass Blunt

Glass blunts are fairly similar to chillums, or one-hitters, but hold much more. As the name suggests, their purpose is to allow stoners to have a blunt-smoking experience from the glass pipe. This usually involves a glass tube that the user fills tightly, and a push or twist mechanism that moves the bud towards the end of the pipe so you can 'ash it.' Glass blunts are excellent to have on hand mainly because you never know when you're gonna mysteriously run out of papers and need a quick substitute. They're also wonderfully simply pipes that are good for circles due to their design to act like a joint and cherry at the end, making it unnecessary to light multiple times.

7. Vapor Curves (Also Known As "Hoover Bell")

A hoover bell is honestly something I'm not terribly familiar with, but the few times I have used one have been quite pleasant. If you're a fan of knife hits, I would seriously recommend this contraption, as it will not only make inhaling the hit much easier, but some bells you can attach to water-pipes and will percolate the smoke from your knife hit for a much smoother experience.

8. E-Nail

If you consider yourself a concentrate connoisseur or an oil head or anything of the sort, then you seriously need an e-nail. E-nails are simply the safest and most efficient way to enjoy multiple dabs in one sitting. E-nails don't utilize any form of combustion, and will keep your nail at the ideal temperature for smoother vaporization.
